Webinars have become one of the hottest and most effective ways to market online. They can be used to deliver training programs (for which participants often pay) as well as promotional programs. These give you an opportunity to connect with the people on your list, to build your list, to demonstrate products and promote the sale of products, and more.
I checked out the available programs to deliver webinars before I started delivering them. There are free webinar tools out there, but I wouldn’t touch them, and I know other people who have tried them and had nothing but trouble. Believe me, when you’re sitting at your computer with a bunch of people online waiting for you to deliver your program, the last thing you want is problems with the technology! There are other webinar companies whose product is excellent but extremely expensive.
For my money, the best option by far is GoToWebinar. Their service is amazing, the technology is so evolved that it takes care of every little detail for you, including:
- sends out emails to registrants
- sends reminder emails to registrants about webinars so they won’t forget to take part
- sends follow-up messages to attendees and no-shows
- lets you easily conduct polls during your webinar and give you real-time results
- presents registrants with immediate feedback form as they leave the webinar, based on information you say you want to have
- easily records your webinars and provides immediate download of the recordings
- lets you host an unlimited number of webinars with up to 1,000 participants on each
- if you hold meetings with fewer than 15 people, you can choose the GoToMeeting option
And it does all this for an extremely reasonable fee. They even give you a 30-day free trial period with all functionality, so you can more than pay for the service before your first bill arrives!
I can’t imagine not doing webinars now, and I can’t imagine using any other service than GoToWebinar.
